The Study of the Cardiac Diseases Risk Index in Middle Aged Women with Hypertension, Obesity and Hypertensive-Obesity

Abstract
|
|
|
To study the cardiac diseases risk index in middle aged women with the degenerative disease, 158 women who aged 40-60yrs were checked by medical process and exercise stress testing. Subjects were divided into four groups that were control, hypertension, obesity, and hypertensive-obesity group.
Results of this study are following,
1. As a index of cardiac disease, TC was 186.5mg/dl in Control group, 220.9mg/dl in Obesity group, and 215.6mg/di in Hypertensive-obesity group. LDL-C was 117.lmg/dl in Control group and 142.4mg/dl in Obesity group. Each of them was difference between Control group and risk factors group.
2. As a index of cardiac disease, TC/HDL-C was 3.72 in Control group, 4.48 in Obesity group, and 4.57 in Hypertensive-obesity group. LDL-C/HDL-C was 2.35 in Control group, and 2.92 in Hypertensive-obesity group. Each of them was difference between Control group and risk factors group.
3. As a new index of cardiac disease, weight pressure product-was calculated by mean pressure and relative weight. That results were 89.3±12.8mmHg in Control group, 121.4±16.7mmHg in Hypertension group, 119.8±18.0mmHg in Obesity group, and 151.8±19.3mmHg in Hypertensive-obesity group. And the values were significant difference between Control group and risk factors group(p(0.05).
Results of this study indicate that using serum lipoprotein, as a index of cardiac disease risk, was more useful than using the other method. In this study the new index of cardiac disease risk was calculated for general evaluation, and that index had qualification as much as using the serum lipoprotein. Therefore it appears that this new index need a wide examination for the standardization.
